Hundreds of horses roam Kentucky's reclaimed mine lands. Horses have been turned out to graze on reclaimed coal lands in Eastern Kentucky for years, but with more owners abandoning their horses, the effects of overpopulation are causing problems for the horses and nearby human residents.
